Pre Musical Theatre is our program for little ones. In a very ludic way, the children start discovering the world of the stage and developing skills that will help to build the base for the future performer. They will be part of our Musical Theatre productions!

Musical theatre is specifically remarkable because it is the only art form that combines all areas of the fine arts: acting, singing, dancing, music, and visual arts.
LCA produces three musical theatre shows per year: Winter, Spring and Summer. There are great benefits to being in a musical, including active participation in the Arts, improving Literacy skills, becoming a confident public speaker, and gaining critical thinking & problem-solving skills.

The Meisner technique is an approach to acting based on the practices of the American teacher and actor, Sanford Meisner. The main objective of the method is to develop the actor’s instinct and responsiveness while performing. Unlike Strasberg, who championed the notion of affective memory, in which actors attempt to relive a genuine, often traumatic memory from the past in order to generate sincere emotion, Meisner believed that this technique would only serve to remove the actor from the circumstances of the scene. Instead, the entire Meisner Technique is designed to keep the actor present and reactive within their imagined circumstances. The technique is based in three main principles: repetition, improvisation, and emotional preparation.
